On Woven Fabric Sound Absorption Prediction

چکیده
For building applications, woven fabrics have been widely used as finishing elements of room interior but not in particular aimed for sound absorbers. Considering the micro perforation fabrics, they should potential to be micro-perforated panel (MPP) absorbers; some measurement results indicated such absorption ability. Hence, it is importance a model enable us predicting their characteristic that beneficial engineering design phase. Treating fabric rigid frame, fluid equivalent employed based on formulation Johnson-Champoux-Allard (JCA). The obtained then validated by where three kinds commercially available are evaluated considering properties. It found can reasonably predict coefficients. However, presence perturbations pores give rise inaccuracy resistive component predicted surface impedance. use measured static flow and corrected viscous length calculations useful cope with situation. Otherwise, an optimized simple function resistivity also applicable this case.

Analysis of Woven Fabric Strengths: Prediction of Fabric Strength under Uniaxial and Biaxial Extensions
This study of woven fabric strength begins by focusing on the effects of the crossing points, where warp and weft yarns interlace with each other to form a fabric, towards the ultimate fabric tensile strength. When a fabric is under uniaxial or biaxial tension, the yarn-yarn interactions at the crossing points are found to consist of two components, a pressure-independent adhesive component and...
متن کاملThermomechanical Properties of Woven Fabric Composites
The in-plane thermo-elastic behaviour of woven fabric reinforced composites is analysed using a combination of published micromechanics and finite element techniques. The repetitive unit of an arbitrary woven fabric composite is divided into elements of which the thermo-elastic properties are determined using micromechanics. The properties of the repetitive unit are obtained using the finite el...
متن کاملImpact Damage in Woven Fabric Reinforced Composites
INTRODUCTION Very often, woven fabrics are used as the reinforcement in advanced composite materials. Although the resulting inplane stiffness is lower than of their unidirectional counterparts, the excellent drapability of these materials eases the production of more general doubly curved components. In addition, the inherently low out-of-plane strength of these layered materials improves due ...
متن کامل-plasma Treatment on Woven Plain Polyester Fabric in Adjusting Hydrophilicity
Hydrophilisation of polyester textile materials has been investigated over the last twenty years using low-pressure and atmospheric plasmas. According to these studies, wettability and capillarity of fabrics can be significantly improved depending on the process gas used. In the present study, the effects of low pressure O 2 and NH 3 plasma on the morphology and topometry of fabrics on four dif...
